Can someone explain to me how to properly use this enchantment? Whenever I enchant my anvil with them and drop it on an enchanted book the book doesn't split but the anvil loses it's enchantment. Also guides have said the higher the level of splitting the less chance to lose enchantments but in JEI there's not any level higher than 1. I'm playing on All The Mods 7 if that changes things, thanks!

I enchanted an anvil with obliteration. The description says it splits books into separate enchantments.

I have a enchanted book that is not turning into two separate books upon me throwing the book on the ground and dropping the enchanted anvil on it.

The enchanted book is Defender's Vanishing III / enchanted sword soaring stamina II, and the anvil is having no effect on the book. What am I doing wrong? Am I misinterpreting this anvil enchantment?

I'd love to see this in game: The obliterate enchantment! An enchantment that can be applied to tools which will destroy blocks rather than dropping them. Handy for survival if you want to clear out an area and not fill your inventory, or if you're strip mining and don't want to collect tuff, deepslate, gravel, etc.

Obliterate could have level I to V where each level increases the likelihood of destroying a block by 20%.

There could be a similar enchantment for weapons too: "Decimate" which prevents mob drops.
