Hi everyone,
I’m currently working on a project in Cinema 4D using Octane Render. It’s a 30-second waterfall simulation, and the final output will be displayed on a huge screen, so I need high-quality results.
Given the complexity of the simulation and the rendering quality required, my current hardware isn’t sufficient. I’m looking to use a render farm to speed up the process and ensure the quality is maintained.
Does anyone have recommendations for reliable and cost-effective render farms that work well with Cinema 4D and Octane? I’d really appreciate any insights or experiences you’ve had!
Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi everyone !
I have a 700 frames project for my portfolio that has lots of details, I need a 2048 samples picture at list. It takes my gpu 17minutes for each (198 hour...). I have a rtx 3070. The problem is I don't have a lot of money to spend for render farms. Do you know any "cheap" render farm for octane ?
Thank you !
I'm trying to find the best option. Would like to drop my .blend file and render it through Octane, on a Cloud or web service.
I'm not a fan of RNDR token, since you need to purchase your own Octane licence.

Hi folks - has anyone calculated the cost of rendering in comparison of RNDR network and conventional render farms - what comes out cheaper in the end?
Hello everybody!
I'm running Cinema 4D with Octane X on MacBook Pro with Radeon 5700 xt eGPU, and I'm quite happy with how its all working with the latest updates, haven't had a crash in days!
This setup is working fast enough for me with still images, but now i'm in a situation where clients want more and more simple animations as well, and thats just fantastic! But rendering animations with my setup just takes too much time and so I've been considering render farm options.
I love the idea of the RNDR network and would be happy to use that, but unfortunately after some testing I noticed that theres some noticeable mismatches on colors and material properties compared to renders on my computer – I'm guessing its because I'm rendering on Metal and the RNDR network is on Cuda (?).
So, any tips for render farms that render with Octane X and AMD GPUs? Tried searching the web but couldn't really find anything – or any suggestions on how to get consistent colors across AMD & Nvidia GPUs?
Thanks for the help!
Looking to do a local network farm in my house. Currently I have 4 machines with a variety of GPUS in them.
-
Main - Threadripper 1950x - 48GB Ram - 2 x 1080ti
-
Slave - i7 7700k - 16 GB Ram - 1 x 1070
-
Slave - i7 7700k - 16 GB Ram - 1 x 1070
-
Slave - i5 8600k - 16 Gm Ram - 1 x 1070 & 1 x 970
I am looking to make them into a farm. My question is do I buy a 3 pack of standalone for the slaves. And do a Sub with Cinema 4D for the Main.
Do I just do 4 x Subs with cinema. But do they have to be on separate login accounts?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I am not familiar with how renderfarms work.
I have two 4k projects, one octane and one redshift that I need to render ASAP. It takes over 5 minutes per frame on my dual Titan-X workstation.
Can anyone suggest a user-friendly renderfarm? Do I need to download a client? How complicated is it? Do I pay for credits or pay after rendering is done?
Thanks!
Hey all - I have my creative team asking to l buy 10k rendering PCs for each of the 3D motion designer’s, which is 6 of them.
Apart from this costing so much, the overheads and maintenance is something I want to avoid entirely. What can you all recommend for cloud based rendering farms that integrate with this like BlenderKit, Adobe or any other major animation platforms?
New to render farms... does this work over wifi? Also, will it matter if the GPUs are Nvidia or AMDl?
Cheers
Does anyone have any experience using Octane render for Houdini and why was the reason for using Octane over say Redshift or Karma/Mantra?
