I’m sick of us and our GM getting yelled at every day. We’ve gotten a few but it’s not consistent. Even the $100 in print credit hasn’t gotten a lot of people. Just a lot of “I’ll take the brochure and think about it.”

Copies are not 20% off. A black and white copy on 24 lb normally is 26 cents. With business select it's 16 cents. A color copy normally is 75 cents, with business select it's 46 cents. An 11x17 color copy is normally $1.44, with business select it's 66 cents. I let them know "I can save you 10 cents / 30 cents / 80 cents a copy." I have even plugged in a different person's business select number into Gmil to show them the price difference side by side. I made a small thing for my print associates that shows the prices of the three sizes of black and white copies on 24 lb, and the three sizes of color copies, so they know, and can offer, because it's a much better deal than the 20% in the brochure. I also have success with repeat shipping customers. I really wish there was something in Gmil that said "save this much on this order with business select," and the same at the register. I don't know everything that's got business select pricing, and I don't always have a mobie to scan things to check (and even if I did, I can't scan every item 100% of the time), but if it just tells me immediately, great. Even better if it allowed us to sign them up in Gmil or at the register, while we're already there.

Do it like all the top stores do. Scan every cart and pitch it every time you can save someone any amount of money. Then just tell them it's a 30 day trial and they can cancel it tomorrow. The day they pull a retention report on Business Select past 30 days, will be the day the free trial goes away

Anybody else just straight up refuse to shill the business select? We get hounded about it at least three times a day every shift, and I'm so fucking fed up with it that I just straight up will not talk about it. My GM keeps trying to shove it down customers throats every time they come up with ink or toner, and I'm so fucking sick to death. What the fuck do I get out of this??? It's not even like I'd get treated better if I DID get a business select bc nobody gives a shit about what you do, just what they notice you DON'T do.

I only ask about it if i see it to be an ACTUAL benefit to the customer. No, im not gonna ask Rachael if she's interested in Business Select with her clearance pack of pencils. But Robert, who's been in here 4 times, is already buying more paper and toner for his office... sure.I'll let him know of it. But like... if they say no, I won't press.

Just got an email welcoming me to a free trial of Business Select. The problem is I did not sign up! I haven't even been to an OD store since December. And it says I'm going to be charged if I don't cancel. This has to be illegal, right?
