Hello hello, I used to play this game like aaaages ago, I wanna say 2018 or so, and now I wanna log in but the app can't connect to my Facebook account. It just freezes, and either exists the app, or redirects me to the Google play store (which is unhelpful). Anyone else had this problem? How did you solve this?
I’m trying to help my mom log into her fb account on her pc. The problem is it forces login to an old profile. Somehow she made another after my parents got divorced but she wants to log into the one she had from back then because it has all her profile info there.
I’ve checked the login information and the info she used on her phone (which is the correct profile) is the same login information we’re using on the pc. For whatever reason though, it keeps forcing the new profile instead of the one we want from before.
I’ve searched for answers and tried everything I can think. I’m hoping the good people of this community will be able to help. My fear is that it has something to do with Meta and that we’re basically at a loss.
Thanks for any advice and/or assistance/suggestions in advance
Hello everyone. This is a tutorial on how to get almost any version of facebook working.
If you have an android device, you’re in luck. Just follow this guide to get an older version of facebook working.
First, download the version 20.0.0.0.14 specifically. This version is from 2014. Do not download any other version than this, or this won’t work. APKMirror is a trustworthy APK file source, so it is recommended you download it from there.
Secondly, open the APK. The moment you click log in, set a timer for exactly 20 seconds. Once the timer reaches zero, close the app by opening the app drawer and closing it. Open facebook and you should be signed in. This is due to a login bug with a really old version of the app discovered by a fellow Redditor.
Technically at this point you have succeeded. But if you want to go one step deeper, download a slightly newer version of the app, preferably from APKMirror. It doesn’t matter which one you choose in this step, but it is important that you don’t delete facebook before proceeding with this step. Open the APK the same way you did the first time. Your device will believe you are downloading an update to the APK, this is normal. The way facebook updates work is that when you update the app, it doesn’t log you out. You have completed the tutorial!
You must follow this tutorial instead of downloading a different APK first, because that will not log in. I hope you like this tutorial.
Hello, I just got a new laptop after 10+ years. Normally I've been using facebook or messenger on my phone but now that I'm back on a computer outside of work, I figured I'd set up all my accounts and what not on Google Chrome (i.e. Facebook, Instagram, Amazon etc.) For some reason, I have to always use my phone to approve the log in and even when it gives me the prompt to "remember" my sign in when I finally log on, I would close the browser and re-open it to ensure it does that but it doesn't. Any advice?
I noticed that when you go to m.facebook.com in Chrome mobile and then check the "desktop mode" setting, it reloads the page in the older (circa 2016) mobile site view. Is there any way to turn that back on permanently without having to use desktop mode?
Update: Disabled some Chrome extensions and Facebook web more stable and no logout/ins. Got Android app logged in the next day. Maybe 2FA codes were rejected through too many login attempts? All working normally now though.
The last few weeks Facebook on Chrome has locked up while loading pages every 5 or 10 minutes. It does respond eventually and seems to be normal until the next time. Today it locked up and then said "something went wrong" and logged me out completely (for the first time in years).
I tried logging in again and the "other device" confirmation did nothing, the WhatsApp, Google Authenticator and Backup Codes all failed. I did get back in eventually (I can't remember how, maybe one of the other device links still worked), but then it logged out on the Android app and I can't log back in because "you can't use this feature right now".
I looked at the activity log on web and it has multiple instances of "<name> has logged in to Facebook.com" and "<name> has logged out of Facebook.com" for days, all with my home IP address and browser. I don't know if it's a Facebook web glitch, a browser extension causing problems, or a virus on my PC.
Has anyone else had a similar problem and know why or how to fix it? Worrying that it was rejecting all of the authenticator codes, even backup codes or codes sent through WhatsApp.
