Hello hello, I used to play this game like aaaages ago, I wanna say 2018 or so, and now I wanna log in but the app can't connect to my Facebook account. It just freezes, and either exists the app, or redirects me to the Google play store (which is unhelpful). Anyone else had this problem? How did you solve this?

Hey everyone, I really need help recovering my old Facebook account and I’m honestly desperate at this point.
It’s an old account with tons of photos and memories I don’t want to lose, but I just can’t log in no matter what I try.

Here’s what’s going on:

• I don’t remember the password, but I do have access to the email linked to the account and I can receive the recovery codes.

• When I enter the code, Facebook tells me I need to log in from a “recognized device”, and it won’t let me continue.

• The devices I used before (a Motorola phone and a Lenovo laptop) are not recognized anymore, even though I definitely used them to log in back then.

• I’ve tried the “hacked account” option and several help forms, but it all just loops back to the same screen asking me for an old device, or redirects me to the login page without letting me upload my ID.

• I’ve also tried using incognito mode, different browsers, my old Wi-Fi network… nothing works — it always ends with the “recognized device” requirement.

I’m super frustrated because I feel like I’ve tried everything. The only real advice I keep seeing is to submit an ID (passport/DL) through a verification form, but most of the links I find online are broken or just lead me back to the login screen.

Has anyone here dealt with this exact problem and actually managed to fix it?
I’m mainly looking for:

• A working link to the ID verification form that’s still active today, OR

• Any alternative tricks (trusted contacts, direct recovery links from old Facebook emails, Meta/Business support, etc.).

Hello everyone. This is a tutorial on how to get almost any version of facebook working.

If you have an android device, you’re in luck. Just follow this guide to get an older version of facebook working.

First, download the version 20.0.0.0.14 specifically. This version is from 2014. Do not download any other version than this, or this won’t work. APKMirror is a trustworthy APK file source, so it is recommended you download it from there.

Secondly, open the APK. The moment you click log in, set a timer for exactly 20 seconds. Once the timer reaches zero, close the app by opening the app drawer and closing it. Open facebook and you should be signed in. This is due to a login bug with a really old version of the app discovered by a fellow Redditor.

Technically at this point you have succeeded. But if you want to go one step deeper, download a slightly newer version of the app, preferably from APKMirror. It doesn’t matter which one you choose in this step, but it is important that you don’t delete facebook before proceeding with this step. Open the APK the same way you did the first time. Your device will believe you are downloading an update to the APK, this is normal. The way facebook updates work is that when you update the app, it doesn’t log you out. You have completed the tutorial!

You must follow this tutorial instead of downloading a different APK first, because that will not log in. I hope you like this tutorial.

All of a sudden my mother wants to start using her Facebook account which was set up for her a million years ago (using her Email, phone, etc). However, she does not know her password. We have tried endlessly to reset her password but we are stuck in no access hell.

She receives codes but, they only get us as far as “must use an alternate device that has been previously been used to log in to Facebook.” Well, she purchased a new phone and computer and no longer has access to the old devices.

We don’t understand the instructions for what to do now. It actually would be best for her anyway to create a new account using a new Email we can create.

Except that there seems to be a warning that creating a new one could mean the old and new both can be disabled/closed by Facebook if the old account has been disabled or not ? already?

I did find some mention of trying to access her account if she uses her Google credentials. Does anyone know if this would really work and how to do it?

Just a real annoying and confusing situation. Does anyone know what to do?
