Hi everyone
I've been recommended this community by r/usenet.
I am needing to declutter and remove decades of old magazines and hopefully replace them with digital versions.
I'm looking from the late 90s onwards in mainly computer, gaming, photography and food magazines (anyone remember PC Attack magazine from the late 90s? lol)
Trouble is, I'm having a hard time finding anything of them online. From what I've read, Demonoid used to be a good source of mag bundles, but they have wiped their listings apparently.
Pirate Bay doesn't show much of anything (bit surprising, I thought they had everything!), and any that are there don't have seeders or leechers.....so I'm a bit stuck.
r/usenet suggested I try Easynews if I'm looking on Usenet due to their free trial and great search tools, but were doubtful I'd find much online, certainly not of the really old stuff.
Archive.org was a good suggestion from the Usenet community and I've found digital versions of some of the mags I have on there but not a lot.
Does anyone have any suggestions of where I might find any more sources?
Also, as this is the data hording community...would there be any interest in any magazines that I scan myself? The results won't be in brilliant quality, I have a full duplex document scanner which I use for general paperwork archiving but it doesn't produce great results with photo quality pages. Are people interested in substandard quality, or will only the best results do for archiving and hoarding?
Thanks very much!
