Maybe I am just talking out my ass but why must they make it so difficult to identify by making you to turn off the main water and removing the part to find the number or taking it to Home Depot to match when they can just simply put a model number on the stem end for anyone to see??? It would be so much easier to order the part or at least check inventory status for the closest supply store before having to remove the whole cartridge.
Hi, I have a Moen faucet in my bathroom. The handle is kind of worn down on the inside where it meets with the cartridge threshold, so much so that when the handle is fully toward the wall in the "off" position, the water begins to pour out of the spout again. I have temporarily resolved this situation by swapping the two handles, and using them in reverse (push toward wall to get water).
I am looking for a model number so I can hunt down a replacement handle. I have one discontinued candidate that is very close already, the CA84002: https://www.moen.com/products/Traditional/Traditional-Chrome-two-handle-low-arc-bathroom-faucet/CA84002.
However, mine is different from this model in that the handle moves independently of the "body" piece. See below. Can anyone help identify the type of faucet I have? Thanks.
