Canada: Returning Gap items at Old Navy?
Is it alright to buy size xs and s online then return the size that doesn't fit me? I'm worried they might not refund the items. In Canada if that makes any difference.
Hey, I'm an associate and I've been working here for about 5 years. That entirety of my tenure, the return policy has been 30 days tags and receipt (which has changed slightly which the loyalty changes in the past few years) Unworn and Unwashed. I had a customer come in today and try to return multiple pairs of pants that she had not only worn but washed as well. She gave me a justification for why she sis this, siting covid as to why she washes ALL clothes rhat she buys after bringing them home, which I understand somewhat. However, once I told her that we wouldn't be able to accept her return for that reason she pulls the "it wasn't like that when I worked here" and enhancing that statement with the declaration that she managed an Gap location for 10 years and that was never the return policy back then. Aside from the can of worms that is the "former employee card" and the "well the policy was never that when I used to shop here" cards that I'm sure we've all heard before, I was just curious as to whether her comments had any validity this time. Has the return policy ever allowed for the return of worn and washed clothing in the past or was this lady just trying to intimidate me?
TL;DR: Have there been any significant changes to the return policy in thr last 20 or so years, specifically the stipulation surrounding worn and washed clothing.
Sorry I'd this was super long and unorganized. This is my first post here and wanted to cover my bases, lol
