Universal Remote for an old RCA, please help!
I have an old RCA CRT and I don't have a remote. Is there a good universal remote app that I can use?
A smartphone app will not work on a crt unless you have infrared connectivity, which very few bother with any more. Why don't you just get a universal remote from ebay?

I use the sure app for android, turns phone into a remote with pretty good functionality. Works great with my Seiki and old CRT RCA. Not terribly retro, but it's free and works slick.

We use an old RCA for our sound system and it works great for our needs. However the remote was lost years ago, and the only thing that works with it is this Logitech Harmony remote. I’ve successfully cloned the IR commands from the Logitech remote I need to control the RCA unit (Power toggle, Volume Up/Down, etc.) - but no matter what I do, I cannot get the RCA unit to accept commands from my flipper.
I tried putting the flipper on the RCA, near the IR sensor while cloning and the RCA would do those actions during the cloning process, so I know the commands are being sent and received. But when I try those commands from my Flipper, the RCA unit does nothing. I’m at my wits end here.. what can I do differently to get the RCA to accept commands from the Flipper??
It's an RCA ColorTrak Plus XS Stereo, if that helps. I'm trying to get to channel 00 for the video inputs, for GameCube and such.
I'd like a suggestion for a good universal remote with a channel program function. My old Sony CRT TV died so I bought a Magnavox but it lacks the channels I need because they were deprogrammed by a previous owner.
My favorite console is my classic RF Famicom, but since it is running through RF I need to set it to the appropriate channel to get it working. (I do not want to install any AV or other modifications.)

RCA Universal Remote works on my old Magnavox CRT and Panasonic VCR, so I recommend that one :)
