What are Driving Games?
Driving games put you in, or on the seat of a vehicle. Typically, a vehicle with wheels. Whizz around race tracks in supercars or take to the road in a haulage truck to deliver materials. Most popular driving games involve racing cars, but there's plenty of variety with simulators, open world, and stunt driving games too.

Looking for a game where you can just enjoy driving and exploring a huge open world. I literally just want to drive. Nothing else so games like Pacific Drive wont cover it since there's a lot of complexity to it. Keep Driving looks cool and might be what In looking for but its 2D. I just want to go, drive, explore and chill.
Really havenโt been able to find any good open world driving games that have been able to come close to or match the physics of games like assets corsa. It seems like all the open world games like need for speed, the crew, forza horizon, are just arcade games, and have terrible wheel physics. Any games out there that have good wheel physics but are open world?
Obvious choices just to get this out of the way:
The Crew
Forza Series
American Truck Simulator - actually not sure if I should play this, if I'm not a fun of trucks?
Euro Truck Simulator - same as above?
Burnout Paradise
Mad Max - its more of a automotive fighting game I guess
Rage - same as above
Fuel - same as above
Test Drive Unlimited 1, 2 - loved these, but they're dated
Are there any other games I should consider?
Basically I want to play Microsoft Flight Simulator, but with (preferably high performance) cars.
I'm looking for some game where you can just drive around a big world (probably procedurally generated) world, live traffic, nice landscapes, day and night cycle and that's all - some relaxing game like this.
I know about slowroads but it's too linear, just one road without turns, and no other cars.
In the past I used driving education games for this but they are clunky with controls and some are ancient (like sierra's driving ed).
Damn, I even tried ancient Streets of Sim City but it's car combat, and also really ancient even for me.
Do games like this ever exist?
What is the best open world car game right now? I usually play the crew 2 and try to get a group going but wondering if there is better ones?
