OpenAI playground no longer free?

I might be wrong but I don’t think it was ever free. You get $18 when you first create a dev account but it expires after a certain period. You need to pay for it just like the APIs. More on reddit.com

I might be wrong but I don’t think it was ever free. You get $18 when you first create a dev account but it expires after a certain period. You need to pay for it just like the APIs.

Playground is mostly free, but has a time limit Using the most expensive model, that allows the AI to produce around 650,000 words for you. After around 3 months, the free credits will expire. Once you hit that time limit (or if you use them all up before then), you'll have to buy more.
