Passing Oracle 1z0-071 exam (SQL)
I am actually feeling so frustrated. I am a data analyst and it is my first time with SQL. I decided last year August to study it and take this exam. I was so confident so I also immediately bought an exam attempt. Thought i could be ready in 3 months...then it become 5...and now nearing 6 months. I have gone through the materials several times and lately been taking dumps but highest i got was just 58%. Questions were sooo tricky and one would need to memorize almost everything. Since my exam atrempt will expire next month, i surrender and will just take it anyway. Has the real exam changed so that at least takers could have higher chances of passing? Lol

Update: Very luckily, i was able to pass with 72.4%. Exam dumps helped a lot. Thanks.

I passed this exam a few years ago and remember it being absurdly difficult and i barely passed, and i had 15 years of plsql experience at the time. I honestly couldn’t make a lot of sense of the questions. Best you can do is just take the exam and hope for the best.

Hey guys, so first, some background:
Basically I've been trying to get into data analytics for the past two years. Been studying and applying with no success. Have a portfolio of SQL, Power BI and Python projects. I have a degree in business and have worked as a teacher.
Now: I'm not sure how I came across this, but I started checking out SQL certs and this exam (in the title, good lord typing/remembering it is a pain) came up as being pretty respected. Is this overkill for a data analyst?
I have intermediate level SQL knoedge and practice stratascratch daily. I'm 60% through a Udemy course to prep for the oracle exam and it's pretty easy.
I'm happy to continue studying and must say oracle Apex is the best looking gui I've seen for SQL.
Should I go for the exam? What seems crazy to me is the cert is only valid for 18 months for the price of $250.
Any thoughts more than welcome. Would this open doors to possibly better paying data jobs too?

The 1Z0-071 is for Oracle 12c and 19c, so considering that Oracle 19c is currently nearing end of premier support and entering extended support I might consider doing the 1Z0-171 instead. It is for the latest release of Oracle, 23ai. That said, both exams will push you through a lot of the more specialized Oracle SQL statements. The exam will have you use analytical SQL with windowing clauses and whatever else is there of specialized SQL statements. The exam is a prerequisite if you should want to get a full Oracle certification. I found the exam to be probaply the most difficult one in the entire 9i certfication track. If the examis worth the money and time is difficult to say. If you happen to find an job opening with a company using Oracle then yes.

Took the test a couple of years back(I believe my certificate has expired by now), barely passed. I had access to official courses from oracle academy. But since we were short on time(we had about a week to prepare and for at least two members of the team to get certified in order to apply for a project), so my boss did some searching and found some exam questions with answers online. If i recall correctly it was a somewhere around 300 questions and answers so we studied from those. We only did this since we were short on time and only had a week to prepare, and the official courses took way to long. I don't recomend using this method, beacouse you don't benefit from it knowlege wise. But if you want to get a feel for the questions just google 1zo-071 exam dumps, I believe examtopics.com should be close to the top of the results. But again this is just to get the feel of the questions, from my experience the site doesn't always promote the right solutions to the questions. And one more thing I would like to point out, in the exam when it comes to questions that depend on region or timezone, the correct answers are for US locale/teritory. We had some issues with this since we are not from that part of the world. For instance for us first day of the week is Monday, but if i am not mistaken in US teritory first day is Sunday.
