Today I learned, IKEA doesn't sell replacement parts, even ones that are expected to wear out.
IKEA Spare Parts Order Status?

LPT: Ikea will send you spare parts for free
Videos
I bought a Havsten outdoor couch three years ago. It uses canvas panels stretched over a metal frame to support cushions. One of my canvas panels has started ripping. IKEA's website directed me to do to a store. After waiting for an hour in South Philadelphia IKEA today, I was told they will not let me pay for new canvases. The IKEA employee suggested I buy a new couch.
Havesten is still in production, maybe I should buy one, swap canvases, and return it?

Has anyone used the ikea spare parts service? I placed an order 12 days ago and all it says is 'dispatched', but no other way to track delivery or even know when it was mailed. The postal service offers this for free but maybe they don't use it? Is there anyway to actually reach customer service to see? It's great that they offer a spare parts service free of charge, but I would rather pay and not wait two weeks.
I ordered spare parts at the beginning of march and when I look back at my confirmation email there's a button to verify my order. I can't remember if I ever verified it but when I try to click the link it just directs me to the spare parts general site. For addition this is the status on my order so I assume I maybe didn't verify in time. Should I do the order again?
This blew my mind today. I have an Ikea chair that lost a couple of screws. It turns out you can get these shipped to you for free if you know the part number (which you can get by looking the product up online).
Both a win for the wallet and the planet. :)
