After a lot of research, I have come to understand that almost all Indian organic cotton is fake, regardless of "certification". There are countless articles on this, but if you want a quick intro, just read the New York Times article from last April. It sums the situation up nicely.

Unfortunately, most organic cotton in the US is sourced from India.

But there is American organic cotton. Most of it seems to come from Texas. However they do a terrible job of promoting themselves, and I am having difficulty finding products made with it, and particularly bedding.

I am hoping some of you know of brands that use American organic cotton.
