April 23, 2013 - Other than using an offset voltage, there’s not much different Origin could have done here. It’s simply the cost of powering nearly 2000mm2 in silicon right now. Moving on to temperatures, it’s probably best to preface this with the fact that it’s hard to set any kind of baseline expectations with a system such as the Genesis.

December 7, 2010 - I wouldn’t call this an “ultra silent” computer, but compared to a lot of the high-end performance gaming machines out there, the Genesis whispers. In terms of spend mine is very fast. Intel Extreme Core i7 processor, 12 gigs of 1600MHZ RAM, and the OS installed on a solid state hard drive. That is by no means the highest end that Origin PC offers.

April 23, 2013 - Ultimately the Genesis is a complete system meant to live out its life as-is – the 70lb+ weight of the system means that owners won’t want to move it anyhow – with the only real work left being the periodic refill of the reservoir. Finally, Origin offers a few different warranties with the Genesis.

The Origin Genesis is an über-gaming desktop PC that has insane performance and an insane price. Insane benchmark scores. Six-core/12-stream overclocked processor. Beautiful design.

It's a pricey PC, but if you want something high end and pre built, then the price may be worth it to you. I do think Origin is making a hell of a markup, but that's okay. You don't have to buy it. The hard line cooling work was well done and that's a lot of labor.
