I don’t recall seeing one. They have removed the screen protector plastic so that you can put a piece of tempered glass on the phone. This offered much more protection. I would actually recommend that anyways. Those old plastic ones that were built into the case used to trap dust and things, but the tempered glass(high quality) seals to the phone, won’t trap anything, and again offers significantly more protection than anything else. And most of those high end glasses come with a warranty.

I had an iPhone 8 for over 3 years and never had a problem with my Otterbox Defender Series case, which came with a screen protector. I dropped it countless times and still left it with nary a scratch.
I was recently gifted an iPhone 13 Pro Max and an accompanying Otterbox Aneu Series Case with MagSafe, which is very nice, but doesn’t give me quite the protection I desire. I researched other cases with more protection and found that even Otterbox’s Defender Series cases no longer come with a screen protector. The only cases that I could find which come with screen protectors are from third party vendors which don’t even sell their cases on Amazon and can’t be trustfully vetted.
Does anybody know what the reason for this is? And, should I just buy a separate glass screen protector for my phone and stick with the Otterbox Aneu Series case I was gifted?

If you want a case, use a case. If you want a screen protector, use one. Neither is needed. The screen protectors that were built into those old cases were garbage. You'll get a better fit from a screen protector that from a piece of plastic built into a case.

Integrated screen protectors are and always have been garbage. I don’t use cases with them, but I was issued an iPad at work that came in a life proof case. I use a stylus on it. And a screen protector that sits a few MM above the screen is terrible when using a stylus. It’s also bad when using a standard touch screen. I popped it out and put a glass screen protector on. Just buy a separate screen protector.

Your best bet is to put a glass screen protector on. If your screen is unprotected dropping the phone face down CAN harm the screen. A glass protector will absorb that impact and help. If you drop it face down on something hard/sharp enough though, the screen can break even with a screen protector. Also know that a screen can break if you drop hard enough on the corner, side, top or bottom edge even with a screen protector. That’s why you should have a case to absorb shock. Otterbox is great and I’ve seen them save lots of devices but they’re also for extreme environments. You could get away with a decent TPU case.

I use the otterbox commuter series case. Dropped my phone many times and there isn’t a scratch or dent on it. Highly recommend it if you want something a little more sleek

We’ve done otter box defenders for 10-15 years.
Now they don’t provide screen protection, I am not up for paying $65 for a case then another 20-30 for screen protection.
Are there cases out there that still include this, is there something i am missing about why they dropped that feature?

The built-in plastic screen protectors were always garbage. They would trap grit and would actually scratch up the screen over time. It was a popular “hack” to remove the plastic screen protector and put on an adhesive tempered glass one. If you like Otterbox cases, get the case and then buy a cheap tempered glass screen protector from someone else.
