I typically get the Defender pro cases for my phones, but accidentally ordered the Defender XT for my new iPhone 15 pro. I like the way this case feels better than the Defender Pro, but am wondering if it offers as much drop/impact protection. I did find some posts online saying the backs of people's phones shattered in these cases, but that was mostly with the iPhone 12, and it looks like the case has been updated since then.

I usually get Otterbox but I'm wondering if there are any other options people are going with. I drop my phone a lot so I got the Otterbox Defender series since it usually does a good job at cushioning the fall.
I’ve used OtterBox on my previous iphones and they have held very true. Some of them I have also use screen protectors but didn’t very much like the feel of them. Should I get a screen protector or will my phone likely be safe without it?
Hello, I recently ordered an OtterBox defender pro case for my 15 pro. I am very excited and have been looking forward to it. At the moment I’m using a cheap clear case and while it isn’t bad I’ve been fumbling my phone a lot and dropping it a lot so I want to make sure I get a really durable case. Does anyone have the same case and can vouch for it? The reviews online sound really good. I’m kind of concerned it may feel too bulky. It should be here this Friday-next Monday sometime. I got a really good deal on it on eBay and made sure it was authentic by closely inspecting the small details (I found that many of them on eBay were knockoffs that looked very similar). Any feedback would be cool I’m just really excited about it and would like to hear what people think
Update: it came in today and I really like it. It’s somewhat thick but not as bad as I thought it would be. It feels really good, a lot better than the clear case I had and I don’t like the feel of the back of the regular phone itself like my 14 pro max was. I also don’t like not using a case too because the bezels are so small now that it’s tougher to tap parts close to the edge, that and accidentally pressing the screen at times. The case feels more textured than I was expecting. And the front isn’t as raised as the old otterbox I used to have. The camera protection is perfect too. Really impressed
So I specifically ordered an Otterbox Defender for the iPhone 15 PM and my phone arrived today and while it looks like it should fit, it just doesn't want to snap into place. I don't want to break the Otterbox but I'm getting kinda frustrated.
Has anyone else been having issues with it?
