Thoughts on ARHOLMA outdoor sofa?
Arholma is a beast for outdoor use since is made of durable plastic. The only thing to care is storing the pillows. Applaro needs oil at least once a year, its solid wood requires treatment. To keep the bright brown color you will need this one
More on reddit.comReally interested in this set but am nervous about how it’ll hold up. Any recommendations?

What's the most comfortable IKEA couch you've ever sat on?

Was thinking about adding an outdoor sofa to my roof deck this spring, and was surprised how costly many of them are! I cam across the Ikea ARHOLMA Sofa with footstool for $465 with the Ikea Family discount and wondered what people thought of it. Is it comfortable? Is it durable?
We've bought a number of things at Ikea and some has been excellent (BESTA for pantry/buffet), while some has been a bit disappointing in terms of quality... we have the ÄPPLARÖ drop leaf table & 6 armchairs, but were really disappointed at how probably half the finish flaked off over the winter while stored under a tarp on our deck. Would probably have gone a different direction on table/chairs had we known, so don't want to be disappointed again.
I’m currently in grad school and I don’t have a ton of money to spend so ideally I’d like something nice that will not look terrible in a year. I saw these in person and they’re beautiful, but I’m nervous about how wood will hold up outdoors. This would be on a shaded balcony, that barely sees any sun haha. The balcony ledge is also pretty tall. I live near the ocean so I don’t know if the air will affect the wood too..this is my first place so I’m new to all of this stuff. Any suggestions or things I should know before purchasing?
