As a long-time Mac user, I've recently started working more with Microsoft Office, including Outlook for my day-to-day tasks. I’m trying to decide whether to stick with the Outlook web app or switch to the desktop version.
I'm particularly concerned about two key factors: Storage Impact: Will using the desktop version affect my local storage significantly?
Performance: Could running the desktop app slow down my Mac compared to the web app?

Will there be any different between the installer.pkg and updater.pkg? the pkg downloaded from https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/officeupdates/update-history-office-for-mac shows as updater.pkg.

I m so happy to join outlook on my computer
Serious question. I mean, Windows should be Microsoft's bread-and-butter. But the Outlook experience on Mac is night-and-day compared to their experience in Windows.
Why?
Microsoft's investment into Outlook for Mac is seriously pushing me away from Windows even more. All they need to do is fix the badge notifications in iOS and MacOS (which never reflect any form of reality) and they'll have a killer product (and I'll likely never touch Windows again). I know Microsoft have been working on a better product for Windows, but it was that way 3 years ago when I last looked, too. Maybe by the turn of the next decade we'll have feature parity between platforms?
