I’ve purchased a Cali King bed. I want to go for that fluffy look. Should I put 2x Cali King duvet inners into the duvet or should I put in an Oversized King duvet inner instead?
Any help appreciated. Thanks!
I’ve heard it’s best to get an oversized duvet for your bed. But how/where do you get an oversized duvet for a king bed? All of the largest duvets I see are King size.

hello all, im currently looking to upgrade my duvet with the fluffiest and coziest replacement possible. currently i have a regular sized king duvet and cover and honestly it bothers me how small it is. ive been looking for hours for an “oversized king” in canada and i can’t seem to find any decent contenders. help please
Can you put an oversized King duvet insert into a regular King duvet cover? I keep hearing to buy a bigger duvet insert that the cover to make it feel more full, and since we have a King size bed, should I get an oversized king duvet insert and jam it into a regular King duvet cover?
I’ve seen a lot about a hack where people are getting a duvet insert that is bigger than their cover (such as a king insert for queen cover). I have a king bed and a regular king size duvet (or California king) are too small and don’t cover the sides.
I currently have a duvet cover that is 120x98, so an oversized or palatial king. My insert is supposed to be the same, but it actually is a few inches too small.
Has anyone tried this hack for fluffier bedding? I’m worried it’ll move all around and bunch up in places and be uncomfortable. I also don’t know what size to get for an insert since the next size up is 120x120 which is more than just a few inch difference compared to what I’ve seen others do.
Any recommendations or thoughts?
I’m going for a really full, fluffy look so I pulled the trigger on a king size duvet cover for my queen size bed. The cover measures 108”x 96”.
I’ve always heard to get a bigger insert as well so I’m looking at oversized king (116”x98”). The one I found also has an option for super king (120”x120”).
Is the oversized king insert long enough to give the puff I’m wanting length wise or should I go for the super king? My one worry would be that the super king would get bunchy instead of puffy. Thoughts?
Alright, I’d love to hear some suggestions. I’m a bit of a bedding junkie and have been on the lookout for an oversized king duvet and insert. Everything I find is not big enough and have settled for a comforter that I do not like. It’s 120x120”. The size is great. The thickness is not.
Our bed is high and I don’t like to see the sheet on the sides. Ideally I like to tuck everything in.
So, does anyone have a recommendation for anything they’ve found? Bonus points if it comes in a heavier down for cold Chicago winters.
Hi!
I have always ordered my duvet a size larger than the bed itself (queen duvet for a full bed, king duvet for queen bed, etc.) because I like the way it looks. I ordered the Nectar Premier King (80L x 76W) and I am so confused by all of the king duvet options .. It seems a california king duvet will just be longer but not necessarily wider, & then there are so many variations of “oversized king,” (alaskan, Wyoming, etc). I am not sure which size duvet to order for a standard king bed to get the oversized look - if anyone has any thoughts please let me know!
TLDR: I am not sure which size duvet to order for a standard king bed to get the oversized look
I'm looking to invest in new bedding. Our current Ikea down comforter doesn't even go over the edges of our king bed, it just sits on top and leads to blanket wars at night.
I'm looking for a new light to medium weight down comforter that is oversized, but that also can fit in a nice duvet cover. I like the Quince sets in terracotta, but the duvet covers don't fit comforters much bigger than what we already have. I've found the giant oversized comforters, but no duvet covers that fit them. Does anyone sell decent versions of both?
Hi, all! Have a king duvet insert inside a king duvet cover. There’s always extra room on just one side of the cover which makes the blanket as a whole one sided and hard to keep straight and even on the bed. I know there’s a hack for getting rid of this extra space by putting a larger insert in a smaller cover, but that it’s mostly used to create a fuller look or feel. I don’t care about either of those things. I just want the duvet insert to reach the ends of the duvet cover. Either way, I have a king bed and a king duvet cover so I can’t switch to a queen cover with a king insert because it won’t be large enough for the bed? Is there a bigger insert than a king I can use in my king cover to remedy this situation, or some other hack to get the insert to fill up all of the space on the cover? Thanks in advance!
I recently switched from a comforter to a duvet and insert from Quince. I got the bamboo duvet cover and love how it feels. The issue is that my mattress has an eggshell topper on it so the duvet doesn’t cover the entire mattress on the sides, and I hate how that looks. When comparing measurements to other brands, it seems every brand has different measurements for duvets and inserts for king size beds. The quince one is 108x92. Never had this issue with the comforter as it was plenty long enough on either side of the bed.
Because of the size issue I have to return it, but where can I find a duvet cover that feels the same but is oversized?
I am looking for an oversized king down comforter that doesn’t leak, and that is good quality. I’ve looked into The Company Store, Feathered Friends, and Costco. Please provide a link so I can see exactly which one you recommend and how long you’ve had yours!
How do you guys find a matching duvet size for the oversized? Do you stuff it in a regular duvet for extra fluffy or have a recommendation where to find the oversized duvet? Amazon didn’t seem to have the size I was looking for. Links appreciated!! Thanks!
When I moved in with my fiancé we took his king bed for us to use. With a regular king duvet I found it wasn’t big enough to drape over the sides of the mattress so I discovered the “super king” or “oversized king” duvet size 120x98 and absolutely love the size! Anyone know where to buy more duvet covers in this size? Anything besides Amazon in US or Canada. Only sponsored posts from Amazon show up when I google it or duvet covers that aren’t the right size.
Hey all, I'm in the process of redoing my bedroom and it is way past time to replace all the bedding and pillows. I've always wanted to do one of those giant oversized comforters. Like where they touch the floor on every side. My bed is a little tall (and a queen size) so I'm not sure how to measure to make sure I'm getting the right size. Any advice?
Been sleeping like shyte for a while, so I decided to do a whole bed revamp. - I bought a palatial king duvet insert (120”x98”) and an oversized king duvet cover (120”x98”), but being just the right size didn’t give me the full, “over-stuffed” look I want. — Does anyone know where to get a 118”x96” duvet cover or somewhere that does custom covers?
Ps. I’m fully aware I’m being extra, but this stuff is expensive, so I’m going to make sure it’s what I want. 🙃
1st time wanting to buy a duvet comforter and cover. I have a king size bed but we like an oversized king. Should I order an oversized king cover & an oversized king comforter? I love the fluffy look, would I wanna up the comforter size to something else if I wanted it super fluffy, like a Cali king or super king? Or best bet just buy 2 oversized king blankets to put into the cover? Hope this makes sense haha thanks for any advice
I know people put king inserts into queen duvet covers for extra fluff and to make sure the insert is filled out. I have a king sized bed and I want a duvet that is bigger than a standard king to put into my standard king duvet cover so that it has that extra fluff. Any recommendations on extra larger king duvet inserts? I would like something reputable and down alternative.
