I went for oversized; King duvet on a queen mattress and I love it. There's a few benefits for me: More blanket to share with my partner Easier to make the bed. Now both sides of have lots of overhang I love the look, it actually looks like the photos on the duvet packaging. Cozier and a little more boujee? hides the stuff stored under my bed I do not recommend getting it if your bed is pushed into a corner. It'll be way too much bulk with nowhere to put it. Or if you have a super, super low bedframe. Or if your bedframe has a really large shelf all around the outside. The final result depends on what bedframe/box spring combo you have right now. I have a platform bed and no box spring, and my duvet doesn't quite reach the floor. If you have a box spring, it should at least reach down the touch the frame. (Full disclaimer: when I broke up with my ex, I let him keep the oversized duvet because I was moving into an apartment with a loft bed and I bought a regular Queen duvet again. Now that I'm back on a regular platform bed I miss the big blanket so much, but I really splurged on this Queen duvet so I don't want to replace it already) TLDR: girl, do it More on reddit.com

Look at Bloomingdales own brand. They are often on sale. I would recommend a King size comforter (duvet insert) in a queen size duvet cover for a puffy look. More on reddit.com

The cotton is very smooth, and I maintained a comfortable temperature throughout the night even when bundled up underneath all my bedding. With an easy access zipper, it was much simpler to put this cover on and off my Company Store down insert than other button-closure covers I’ve tried. One small thing to note: Boll & Branch only offers combination sizing (Twin/Twin XL, Full/Queen, King/California King) so if you have a bed on the smaller side of those pairings like I do with a full mattress, the corners of the duvet will hang fairly close to the floor.

I currently have normal queen sized bedding, but want to go a little bigger on the comforter. I was about to order an oversized queen duvet cover (96"x96") and an oversized queen comforter (98"x98") for it. I'm trying to figure out if it's normal for the comforter to be bigger than the duvet cover as their normal queen stuff matches in size. I've already emailed a few times with the company (Cuddledown) and they told me to call support. After 3 calls and 5 different support people who thought this was apparently an insane question they've never heard of, I was finally dumped into a voicemail.
I love Cuddledown's stuff, but this is a crazy support experience for what seems to be a simple bedding question for a bedding company. Any help here from the community would be great.

You can even stuff a king-sized insert into your queen size duvet cover, if you want. So it's fine if the oversized queen insert's a bit bigger. it'll just look a little puffier. The confusion from Cuddledown's customer service is bonkers. I'm sorry you've gotten such a runaround.
