The brand spanking new car that is three years old, has been sitting on the lot, and only been test-driven is a bit of a unicorn. Unicorns do exist but they're properly called rhinos and they're nearly extinct. With modern sales forecasting, sales techniques, and the car rental industry, a long series of mistakes has to take place for a car dealership to have a three year old car on the lot.
