There are more time zones than that. if you drove from new York to Los Angeles you would start on Eastern Time. Then you would be in central time. Then Mountain Time. Then Pacific Time. Each is an hour off from the last. These generally change at the borders of different states. Now you also have to remember that by this point you've been driving straight for almost 2 days.
