I have a young female relative who's in college and looking for part time work.
She doesn't really have any work experience other than babysitting.
I really don't have a clue how to help her.
Does it work any more to just go into places and ask if they need help (maybe at small stores?)?
When I was in college there was a career office that was helpful, but I don't even know if that's a thing now.
LinkedIn has been helpful for me personally, but I don't think it will do anything for her--maybe there are apps that are better for casual work or people with no experience?
What Are Different Jobs for Students With No Experience?
Jobs for students with no experience include roles like bank teller, marketing associate, and retail associate. Most employers understand your needs as a student, so they are willing to offer hours that still allow you to graduate from school. They also provide training to work in an entry-level role while attending college. Many jobs for students with no experience focus on allowing you to assist other employees or the company as a whole. Alternatively, you may want to look for a paid internship. These are often better about integrating with your classes than most jobs. As a student, you do have options, so be sure to talk to your school about what you plan to do and see if they have any resources that can help.

Hi,
I'm a broke business/Art student, applied to 200+ entry-level sales position and internships under the sun.
I desperately need money to pay for my classes and supplies this Fall, what jobs will actually hire me?
Even got rejected from the most basic retail & fast food jobs in my town.
EDIT: THANK YOU ALL for the feedback! I've successfully removed my college education from my resume, hopefully, lower entry jobs will give me a chance now.
Hello everyone,
I am a college student looking for a job and so far I have applied to over 100 places and have had no luck. I don't have much experience unfortunately. I have worked as a cashier for one year before and that is the only official job I've held. I am looking for Jos that don't need much experience in the center city are and the temple area. I have extremely flexible hours too so if anyone knows of any places hiring and could lmk I would greatly appreciate it.
side note - many people have told me to apply in person so I have also been doing that but I have not had much luck. Does this actually work?
