How do I change Gmail password without losing the account?
You should be able to see what the recovery email is at https://myaccount.google.com/recovery/email If it asks for the password, try here instead. This page will mostly show 2fa options but the subtitle for the recovery email option might show the email https://myaccount.google.com/security If you can't see the email without asking for a password, just keep clicking try another way when it asks for the password and eventually it should offer to send you an email to allow you to sign in after waiting 3 days. First of all, I know someone else posted this questions but no solutions that worked were offered so here we go.

I singed up on a different computer and google is marking it as suspicious activity and making me change my password. I refuse, in 12 years it's never been hacked, and I'm very attached to it. I don't want to change it for such a stupid reason as me myself loging in.

I already went to the security side of my google account and said I was the suspicious person making the log in, but it's still forcing me to change it to make any new log ins, which I need to do because I have a new computer.

I really need there to be a solution, even if that solution is to get in a call with someone. Could anyone please help me? I simply refuse to change it for no reason, I feel super frustrated at google not giving me an option at all. I have two factor so it's not like the pass alone could make someone get into my account! Please help me!

r/googlehome on Reddit: How do I change Gmail password without losing the account?
October 9, 2024 -

I'm taking care of my parents, and my father's Gmail account is important, with registrations for the health insurance account and such, which gives access to the app, receipt of bills, etc. But no one knows what the recovery email or password is.

Is there a safe way to change the Gmail password without needing the recovery email? Or is there no solution and is it better to leave the email as it is and pray that Windows (7) doesn't crash? My parents use the computer, so a Windows crash and subsequent reinstall is not uncommon.

I don't know if he can change the health insurance e-mail subscription over the phone, because he is disabled. Even over the phone, his voice is very hoarse and low and he often gets confused (onset of dementia). I don't know if they would accept it.

If I try to change the password, I might lose the account.
