I actually saw this in person at my local Patagonia store last week and fell in love with it. Never expected to see something like that from them, and had to talk myself out of buying it on the spot because of all the bag types I own many of, totes top the list. The backpack straps are pretty minimal/lightweight in comparison to the rest of the bag if I recall, and I can’t imagine it’d be super comfortable to carry the bag fully loaded for long periods that way. That said, if you’re on holiday and want to carry it hands free while you’re eating a meal on the go (or jog through the airport), they’ll be adequate. Best of all, they’re stowable in a side pocket.
