I got a new Patagonia Micro MLC yesterday and I’m going to share some initial notes.
This bag is similar to the old Patagonia Tres. It feels about 20% smaller than the MLC Mini. I don’t think the official numbers are out but it’s about 25l or 26l. It’s got a large front pocket that covers the front section of the bag that easily swallows a 32L water bottle.
I packed it with a Thule organizer, a toiletry kit, and 14” MBP and electronics cords. In the Thule are 2 pants, 4 shirts, socks and underwear and a pair of shorts, and a fleece jacket.

July 27, 2025Patagonia MLC MINI 30L - Opinions versus Osprey Daylite 26 + 6
Redditors have posted photos of the Daylite 26+6 jammed into Ryanair and Wizzair sizers. It’s not pretty. I would under pack a bit. It’s 17”x13”x6”. Others have used the Mini MLC for under seat on less restrictive airlines. It is 20" x 12" x 7". You can get it under the seat, but it will stick out a bit and you will have no room for your feet. A fail for Frontier, Spirit, Ryanair, Wizzair, Easyjet, United Economy, Lufthansa, etc. FAA requires that your bag should not extend into the foot path for quick emergency exit. Enforcement on that is very lax from my experience. More on reddit.com

Good post. I think the bag is actually 30L when you include the admin / laptop section (although I've never measured it myself). I think it was a marketing decision to initially call it 26L and then another to call it 30L. More on reddit.com

Built in mesh divider is a bit of an antifeature in my book. Maybe it's not as bad as it sounds, hard to say with no pics of the inside.
