Four family members found dead in San Francisco’s Westwood Park, police say
Four members of a family were found dead Wednesday afternoon inside a home in San Francisco's quiet Westwood Highlands neighborhood, according to police. Officers were called just after 1 p.m. to a house on the 900 block of Monterey Boulevard for a welfare check. A man told police he had not been able to reach his brother's family, according to information reviewed by The Chronicle. When officers entered the home, they discovered two adults and two children dead, authorities at the scene said. More than a dozen police officers and investigators gathered behind yellow tape outside the home on Wednesday afternoon. Police spokesperson Robert Rueca confirmed that four people were found dead inside the house but declined to release the victims' ages and relationships to one another. "This appears to be suspicious and that's why our homicide investigators are leading the incident," Rueca said. "It appears to be a criminal act, but there is no threat to the public." Rueca declined to elaborate on the suspected criminal act. The medical examiner's office was conducting an independent investigation into the deaths. The home is located in a tree-lined neighborhood on San Francisco's west side near Mount Davidson. Neighbors described the family as reserved but friendly. Belinda Hanarte, who lives next door, said she often heard the children playing in the yard and the family eating dinner outside. "For the past two months, it's been pretty quiet," Hanarte said. "We were wondering if they put the house for sale or something because we didn't notice as much movement as before." Another neighbor, Preston Becker, said his children attended ski school with the family's daughters. "There's a group of kids in the neighborhood around that age, and they would all hang out together," Becker said, adding that the family had lived there for more than a decade. Authorities said the investigation is ongoing. More on reddit.com
Cause of death revealed for San Francisco family of 4 found inside home
So...full disclosure, my daughter was a classmate of the younger girl, Mackenzie. She said that Mackenzie "went home sick" on Monday because she was "dizzy" and had trouble moving around. Looking at the reported amount of drugs in her little system, I think that Paula had been slowly loading them up with drugs to (hopefully) sedate them before murdering them...or potentially trying to "accidentally" overdose them? I have a lot of experience with this family. TR was great. The girls were great. Paula was an absolute psychopath. More on reddit.com
