r/florida on Reddit: DMV reinstatement question
October 26, 2022 -
I no longer live in Florida and my parents received a letter after I moved stating I had a red light ticket. My license had therefore been suspended. I called and managed to pay the ticket over the phone through an automated line and 48 hours later the clerk shows it is cleared but the license is still suspended due to the need for the reinstatement fee. I cannot speak to anyone at the DMV through customer service or chat for an answer on how to clear this and the automated system will not allow payment. I'm at my wits end trying to get this cleared up. Does anyone know if a family member can pay the reinstatement fee or if I have to hire a legal representative? This is the most frustrating experience ever!
