Hi all!
Apologies for what may have been answered numerous times, but I've not been able to get any kind of clear answer, even from PayPal themselves! Currently, I have a full-time job, but am thinking of opening an online storefront to sell small sculptures I make. I tried Etsy, but their fees are extortionate and have decided to give BigCartel a go, but they require a paypal business account to take money.
I don't want to have my personal details stamped on every invoice and receipt to those I sell to (of course I'm happy to provide my legal name to paypal to verify/create an account!), so my real question is: Within the Legal Business Name box, am I allowed to use the name of my storefront, or do I have to have jumped through all the relevant hoops to have that registered as a business? It's just me running everything, making the sculpts and selling them online etc, so I'd like to have my storefront's name as the business, but since this is just a side-hustle, I don't intend on going all out, getting a copyright name/trademark, all that jazz!
Any help would be massively appreciated! Thank you!! :D
Hi, I own a legitimate UK based eCommerce dropshipping store and would like to have a PayPal payment available for my customers. After setting up my PayPal business account, PayPal blocks my money and asks for bank account verification and my address in the Uk.
We operate the company using Wise (Transferwise) and it works well but it is not accepted as a legitimate bank for PayPal. As a non-UK-resident I cannot have a regular HSBC/Lloyds/Barclays etc account because of no proof of address (utility bill, etc).
Question:
Is there a way to have a PayPal business account without having residency in the country of operating the business?
Alternatively: is there any payment processor that could be accepting our customers online payments?
