With questions like this it helps to share your cost boundaries… what do you consider not cheap? What are you willing/able to spend, both in licensing and implementation? And remember a more expensive license might save you lot’s of development hrs making an alternative work, and those don’t come cheap either… More on reddit.com

February 17, 2023Help converting DOCX Buffer to PDF in NodeJS
Write it yourself. If you take a .docx file, rename the .docx extension to .zip, then unzip the folder, you'll find several XML files. One of those files is called document.xml. If you look at document.xml you'll see the contents of your .docx document. You'll have to figure out how to parse through the xml, and save the content to pdf. I used to work for a company that did this stuff using C#. Edit Found this post on SO . The docx-pdf package sounds like it may be useful. Let me know how it goes. More on reddit.com

Unfortunately even the legacy build does not work on iPhones older than 3 years (and a lot of people have those since iPhones don't break that quickly). So we had to go with an even older version of PDfjs and then one ends up having to include it via CDN instead of an npm package.
