Is there a phonetic transcription dictionary or tool?
Trying to make a cool-looking phonetic transcription of English, what do you think it looks like?
Looking for open source phonetic transcription databases.
How come there is no diphthong in the phonetic transcription of English "use"? Shouldn't it be [jyuz] and not [ju:z]?

When I searched 'phonetic transcription online', all the results are phonemic transcription. I wonder if 'phonetic transcription' only exists in linguistics textbooks. I really need a tool which can give me a phonetic transcription of any English and Chinese word so that I may solve some problems which confused me for a long time.
Edit: If there is no such dictionary. How do those writers get the phonetic transcription of words printed in textbooks?
Thanks a lot.
Recently I started this hobby of trying to create a good-looking phonetic transcription for English.
This transcription is based on the IPA, but I tried to make it more cool-looking and more intuitive/readable when transcribing sentences and texts.
The IPA has a unique symbol for every vowel. I tried simplifying it by having short-long vowel pairs (monothongs) with every vowel of the alphabet (a, e, i, o, u). All long vowels have diacritics and if it has diacritics then it's a long vowel.
Monothong Vowels in Short-Long Vowel Pairs
a (cat)
ȃ (car)
e (bet)
ë (bear)
i (it)
í (eat)
o (bot)
ō (bought)
u (book)
ú (boot)
ʌ (but)
ǝ̄ (nurse)
ǝ (a of about, also known as the 'schwa')
Diphthong Vowels:
əu (coat)
au (out)
ai (eye)
ei (day)
oi (joy)
iə (here)
uə (tour)
Consonants:
f, s, p, t, k, v, z, b, d, g, m, n, r, l, y, w, h remain the same as in English
θ (think)
þ (though)
ʃ (show)
ʒ (measure)
tʃ (chair)
dʒ (jelly)
ŋ (king)
These can be substituted in the transcrition to make it look better:
ks = x
kw = qu
dʒ = j
tʃ = ch
Overall there are 20 vowels and 24 consonants. Some dialects have merged some of the vowels. I think this would be a cool-looking dictionary transcription.
