Are there any serious piano game apps, the kind to "gamify" practice?
The best thing you can possibly do for this is to play stuff you want to play and then learn what is needed to play those things. Essentially, just do the thing. The more tallying and stuff like that you add to practicing the less practicing you actually do. Say there's a difficult 2 bar section that's like a fast 3:4 polyrhythm that I am trying to play. I could either (A) write out okay do it 5 times at 60 bpm, 5 times at 70 bpm, 5 times at 80 bpm and do like tallying and crossing each time I successfully play it -> Let's say this takes 30 minutes to do in one day or (B) similar to A but I'm leveling up in a game and giving my character "polyrhythm" stats or something in addition to (A) -> Alright this is longer with all the setup let's say it's maybe 35-40 minutes or maybe it's 30 minutes but previously there was setup time with the game. But I'm assuming there will be some extra time or (C) Play it slowly on my own, using metronome if it sounds like I am not even with it, doing it until it feels like there is improvement, then come back to it the next day. Only getting specific if there is really quite a lot of difficulty hitting it -> Maybe 15 minutes Look how much time you saved! The improvement is probably nearly the same in all three across time. Bureaucracy grinds the world to a halt and largely benefits the bureaucrats themselves over others. More on reddit.com

April 8, 2017I'm looking for a game like piano tiles but where I can load my own music any suggestions?
A bit hard, since the files need to be processed first to get accurate "beat" to it, similar to Guitar Hero or Frets on Fire. The closer you can get are probably music guessing games, Beat Hazard (which only follow the song's "loudness" to adjust its gameplay tension), or Audiosurf (PC though) More on reddit.com

Is there any game out there for practicing piano, something that gives you, I dunno, a trophy or the "Level Completed!" tune from Mario when you finally get that piece exactly right?
What I'm thinking is something vaguely like Guitar Hero, except instead of being played on a specially-designed guitar-shaped controller, it's played on an actual piano, and instead of a series of button prompts you'd get the actual sheet music. Wouldn't have to be anything fancy, at least in terms of presentation, but ideally would include things like practice regimes and warm-ups.
I've got an electric piano with a USB plug, so it's easy to link to a PC if needs be.
Does anything like that exist?
