I'm thinking to buy a keyboard/digital piano. Is there something I should know?
You're on the piano sub so most people here will say 88 keys and weighted or nothing, you pleeb. However, that's grossly unrealistic for a first timer in high school who has a small budget, and a life that is changing very quickly. Most important thing is something you can afford and portability. The ones without weighted keys are much lighter and easier to take with you when you move for college, or want to pick up and practice somewhere you won't be bothered. Having the perfect practice instrument means nothing if you can't put time into it because it's not convenient enough to do so. Most important thing in the beginning is to just put in time, and convenience helps with that. And realistically, you might decide it's not for you and try guitar instead. You don't wanna be down $800 just to find out you don't like it. More on reddit.com

In that price range a lot of people will recommend the Yamaha P225, Roland FP30X, or the (pricier) Kuwai ES120. It's just preference between those which feels/sounds/looks nicer to you but otherwise they're pretty similar, especially the Yamaha and Roland. More on reddit.com
