For instance on your keyboard or piano, D sharp is the key that is one key to the right of D while, D flat is the key that is one key to the left of D. To make a note flat or sharp, a flat symbol or sharp symbol (respectively) is placed before the note on the musical staff. Flats and sharps are known as accidentals. Here’s a diagram showing music note names of the treble and bass clef and where these notes are on the piano keyboard.

Piano Notes: The essentials for pianists and keyboard players | flowkey
There is no strict “correct” volume, so you have space to express yourself and make the music your own. Volume is marked as letters to represent Italian terms. “Piano” (p) is quiet while “Forte” (f) is loud. “Mezzo” (m), meaning medium, can be added to either Piano or Forte to bring it towards the middle. To exaggerate either marking, you simply multiply it. So pianissimo (very soft) is pp, while fortissimo (very loud) is ff. And fff is “neighbours complaining”. An accent (>) on a note tells you to play it with more emphasis.

"Middle C" is designated C4 in scientific pitch notation with a frequency of 261.6 Hz, because of the note's position as the fourth C key on a standard 88 key piano keyboard. Some manufacturers label the 440 Hz concert pitch not correctly as A3. It is really A4. Cubase, Akai, and ProTools are starting differently at octave −2, or octave 1. That's not the standard. The first tone is the note A0 and that is 27.5 Hz. The classical music world is counting this way. The tuning pitch for the Western music (concert pitch), is 440 Hz. It is named A4 or a’.

The note names and how to find the notes on a piano keyboard - Piano Theory Exercises
November 19, 2021 - In the next figure, you can see all the names of the notes on a piano keyboard. As you can see, this is a pattern of 12 different notes (represented on the piano by 7 white keys and 5 black keys) that repeats itself. Btw, notice that on the right side of the B and on the right side of the E, there is no black key. So you could call the C also B#, and the F an E#. Or, in the same way, you could call the B a Cb and the E an Fb. In music theory, this is sometimes needed (the 7th note in the F# major scale is an E#, not an F, even if it is exactly the same note).

Middle C is the 4th C up from the low end of a piano (the left side), and the 5th C down from the high end (right side): Here we have all the C’s on the keyboard (shown in yellow), with Middle C displayed in purple: Before we continue, let’s just clear something up for a moment. Do we really care which C we are playing? We learned earlier that all notes an octave apart have the same basic sound. So does it really matter if we play one C as opposed to another? Won’t the music basically sound fine, as long as we play the right note names?

Piano Notes and Keys – How to Label Piano Keys
Strictly speaking piano keys don’t really have names. Keys aren’t actually called C, D, E, F, G, etc. They just play those notes. The same keys play other notes as well. This is important to understand especially when one is learning to read music, as well as musical scales.
