Hi, I've read a few articles aboout it, but they seem to cancel one another out.
Im looking for a colour of roses for a date. I know red is about love, but it seems so "strong". I've found somewhere that pink/purple roses may mean something like "a crush/infatuation" but some sites said they mean friendship.
Does anyone know the "right" colour for these feelings or shoud it be just red?
In All This Twisted Glory, Cyrus blooms a ridiculous amount of pink roses while waiting for Alizeh. There are so many the scent is described as far too overwhelming to many characters besides Alizeh, who says it’s quite nice. I’m wondering, what was your interpretation of what this means or symbolizes? At first read, I thought maybe Cyrus was blooming so many because he wanted Alizeh to be reminded of home, where she kept rose perfume. So he covered Tulan in roses so that his home could feel a bit more like hers. Conversely, it could also be that he’s simply thinking of her often, wishing her well, and wishing for her to wake up or “bloom.” But my second time reading now, I wonder if this represents Cyrus’s love, or perhaps his heart re-opening. Cyrus is quite torn apart by his feelings for Alizeh with the complications of the devil and feels tortured by loving her. Do you think the pink roses symbolize some shift, where he finally decides perhaps to love her regardless? To put aside his own whims and just love her regardless of if she loves him back because she simply is undeniably worthy of it? Interested to hear your thoughts. I’ve included some screenshots of what came up when I searched pink roses meaning in google. The first is in Persian culture (which TWK is based in if you didn’t know) and the second is just generally. P.S. : the fact that Alizeh loves the scent and is the only who does (and the fact that practically everyone else hates Cyrus) gives me hope that they’ll be together 🥹🩷
I am writing a story where this is important. I need a flower that can go with forget-me-nots meaning “I’ll never forget you”. I looked up that Pink Carnations can mean “I’ll never forget you” but it is also associated with Mother’s Day and a mother’s undying love, which confused me.
