Do not listen to people saying pinstripes are outdated. They are classic and timeless. While they do have a business-y connotation, they are just a pattern. And the business aspect can be fun to lean into. Especially since you said you already have 5 other suits, there is no issue buying a pinstripe. Also, there is nothing wrong with it being 3-button. You can wear it only buttoning the middle button, or no buttons at all. Has nothing to do with height either. What’s more important is this suit is high quality. Hickey Freeman’s a well-regarded brand. Judging from the shape of chest and the appearance of the buttonholes, which seem handmade, this is likely a very nice suit. This doesn't look black, it looks like dark charcoal. You want to avoid wearing black suits in general. Pinstripes were once the realm of businessmen, particularly bankers, but have somewhat fallen out of favor as a more vintage look or in the finance world, a vestige of Wall Street excess. I think they're fine if the stripes are quiet and I own a pinstripe charcoal suit myself. However, if I were to donate a few suits from my rotation, the pinstripe would be first to go.
