Hi everyone,
I looked at the "what to wear for a wedding" link to the right, and every picture I saw of people modeling suits worn to weddings were of gray and black suits. Would wearing a blue pin-stripe suit be OK for a wedding, or is a solid gray/black suit strongly recommended?
It also seemed like a blazer with pants is somewhat frowned upon in weddings too, judging from the articles I looked at in the 'wedding' link - is that true, or is a blazer and pants alright?

While I don't think anyone is likely to shun you for wearing a pinstripe suit, I don't think it works. Pinstripes have a very strong implication of being for business, and obviously while a wedding is formal it's not business. You'd be much better off with a plain navy or grey suit, but if pinstripe is all you have, go for it.

It really depends on the wedding. For a casual daytime wedding, a blazer and chinos is fine (but it's an excuse to wear a suit, so you might as well) Pinstripes used to have a very business/banker/boardroom connotation that is slowly fading, I'm sure you could pull it off depending on this particular wedding's level of formality. I'd only wear a black suit if it's a black tie recommended/required wedding.
