I cringe everytime someone ships with that scammy company because it's a 50/50 chance I'll actually get it. Tracking these numbers hardly work (only work on Etsy most of the time), plus PB lets packages sit in their "facilities" for days (sometimes for weeks) on end before sending it along. And in one case (package bought from elsewhere) send it to the WRONG destination hub (i.e. Atlanta, where there's a MAJOR problem going on with mail delivery right now) where it's just sitting for who the hell knows how long. PB customer service is the absolute worst & no help at all since they refuse to admit to their f-ups and tell you to contact the shipper or USPS. These games with packages have caused many sellers to lose money due to customers like myself demanding refunds because of slow or lost deliveries.
I know PB are the cheapest for sellers to ship, but they'd do better profit wise if they'd just use USPS instead. In fact, Etsy needs to stop allowing shipping with this company altogether.
I had an order Feb 19 and shipped it Feb 20. It is now March 5. The customer has messaged me to let me know they still haven’t received their items. When I looked on Pitney Bowes it is in their system, but hasn’t been updated since initially scanning into my local distribution center. The customer is asking me to resend the package (and to send it via UPS, which I don’t normally offer), but I feel like it’s too soon to write the package off as missing. Furthermore, I’m hesitant to resend the order because I’m not totally convinced enough time has passed to warrant me replacing the items.
How long should I give the Pitney Bowes tracking system before considering other options? Can I open a case with Pitney Bowes to get them to look into an updated location for the package? Thoughts or advice very welcome. Thanks!
I have a box coming to me soon and the tracking for it is from "pitney bowes," a logistics/ shipping tracking company I've never heard of. Has anyone had any experience with this company because I read some reviews on Google and its left me wondering if I will receive anything at all 😅
The time it took to get through Chinese customs, to USA, through US customs, through LA, CA to Greenwood, IN was much faster than it’s been to get Pitney Bowes to deliver it from Greenwood, IN to Nebraska.
Like holy crap, how can a company be so shitty?
I am not going to start a complain here, just wanted to ask a question.
If you are waiting for your package from Pitney Bowes, how long have you been waiting? Weeks? Months?
For those of you who actually have received packages from Pitney bowes recently, how long did you have to wait?
Thanks in advance.
On a side note, I’d love to see if Boxy extends this sale again like last month. I imagine sales numbers are down since people haven’t received orders from last month.
They are extremely slow but if it's been 16 days I'd contact boxy again and get a refund. That is ridiculous. Most I've had to wait for movement is 5 days. On the bright side though, you are able to track your shipment. My package was ordered in August, shipped 9/9 and the pitney website says the tracking number is incorrect 😑 they used to sent packages through FedEx if you ordered over 40 dollars. I noticed they don't do that anymore. Seems like they only use pitney now instead of dhl and fedex
I haven’t gotten my order and it’s been over a month and it’s a near $300 order smdh
Hi, I sell the majority of my stickers with USPS First Class Mail/Pitney Bowes through Etsy and although it sends my customers a tracking number, they almost never get updated with tracking. To make matters worse, most orders are showing up many days late despite the fact that I always ship on time. But customers don’t believe me because, there is no accurate tracking. Is anyone else experiencing this and how can I fix it? I’d like to keep shipping costs low but this is crazy.
I ordered a package on amazon and its going through this company called pitney bowes, anyone heard of them? I googled them quickly and it only has 1 star reviews, really hope i can get my package. My tracking says its late, which it is, any help people can give?
I think we all know that Pitney Bowes has always had its issues, but has anyone noticed it it’s been extra bad about sticking at Pre Transit?
Half my sales are shipped as flat or letter via Pitney Bowes. I would say maybe 1 in 5 would get stuck in pre-transit but since January, almost every flat and letter has been stuck at pre-transit. It’s like it got worse after the holidays.
I’ve increasingly had multiple angry customers either accusing me of not shipping or saying that their package never came. The majority of the time, the package does show up, but sometimes it’s very difficult to get a customer to understand what Pitney Bowes is and why their packages appears to have never been sent. Some have been understanding, but others not so much.
I know the obvious thing would be to use First Class but shipping for under a dollar vs $3.50 is too big big difference given my products are low in price. Has anyone else noticed this decrease in reliability?
Tracking on letter and flats is pretty much a 1/10 now. I’m working on removing any claims that I have in my shop that say that small items are shipped with tracking because of this. I’ve had the exact experience as you where some people understand and others are just plain rude (and a bit dumb if im honest). I mainly sell stickers and shipping in mailers with better tracking, would cost me more than the price of 1 single sticker. But I’ve been accused of not shipping out items since they’re still in pre transit just for them to arrive the next day. Im not sure what to do since Pitney Bowes is the easiest and cheapest way
One thing I want to add, because yes on Etsy the First Class letter and flat "tracking" provided by Pitney Bowes has been 1 out of 10 get updated for most of 2022. So about 80-90% stay in Pre-Transit even after delivery.
But the reason I think it has more to do with Pitney Bowes or their transference of data to Etsy is that Ebay introduced the same USPS First Class letter/flat "tracking" right before Etsy did. But they use a different servicer than PB and theirs always updates in my experience. I'm still dropping everything off at the same post office in Seattle and it's going through the same sorting machines at the USPS hub, but on Ebay they update and on Etsy they don't.
So therefore not so sure it has to do with new sorting machines unless USPS is no longer allowing the data to be passed on to Pitney Bowes.
When an item is shipped PITNEY BOWES. It gets to the USA, then takes weeks to get to destination. For me. It arrives in N.J. then it is shipped to Atlanta, then Jacksonville Fl. which is very close to me, then it goes to Orlando Fl. then back to Jacksonville, Fl. then to my local post office then to me.
Is it just me or has Bath and Body Works gotten a little lazy with shipping? Even with sales in years past and even in the beginning of the pandemic, they were fairly prompt with shipping orders. I understand when there is a really good sale it might take a couple days more to ship. But I have noticed in the past year that shipping seems to take at least a week before they ship. I have made orders from other places a couple days later and those thing were shipped and arrived at my doorstep before Bath and Body Works even considers shipping what I order. Don't even get me started with how they stock their stores and online warehouse.
When you are disabled and don't drive, shopping is an even bigger production and can be an expensive one.
Package from UK. Arrived there 'Global Shipping Centre' 2/22/22. Predicted delivery in California 3/2-3/4.
Pitney Bowes tracking says package handed to USPS 2/28/22. USPS continues to show "Shipping Label Created, USPS Awaiting Item". Pitney Bowes says contact Ebay. Ebay is famously uncaring and unhelpful. I have started a problem ticket with USPS (making noise helps prevent some packages that have gone off the radar from disappearing completely from what I have seen).
Is this normal? Should I make more noise at Ebay? Thanks for any info!
