Pitney Bowes is not a shipper. They are a postage reseller. Your seller did indeed track it using USPS, by buying a label though Etsy’s shipping system, and since it starts with 003 it must be a letter or “flat” envelope. I’m guessing stickers or something? Seller did this to save up to 70% on the shipping costs vs buying a USPS “parcel” label. You can’t track those on the USPS site, as you’ve already experienced. Only through Your etsy purchase history. I’ve heard it might be traceable on the PB website but it would be exactly the same info. PB “tracking” only happens as the envelope passes through their scanners/sorting machines at USPS facilities. It may be scanned zero, once, or a few times on its journey, depending on whether the hubs it goes through have those machines (USPS had been removing many of them over the past couple years user DeJoy’s leadership). I ship about half my packages as parcel and half as flats, with this same tracking. Though it shouldn’t be slower, evidence tells me that they can be when it’s a letter or flat. By a couple days, nothing major. I do this to keep my costs low for my customers. I’ve never had one of those permanently go missing. And - this is important- Etsy May send you an “hooray, it’s been delivered!” E-mail on the day it is scanned in the USPS hub nearest you. However, it could still take 3 days to arrive after that. So please don’t harass your seller immediately when etsy suggests it’s been delivered but it’s actually still in the mail stream. Give it a couple days. Your seller will be able to see the same info you can, and there’s no USPS support if you want the seller to investigate it’s whereabouts, however, etsy may be able to help if it indeed never arrives. Doesn’t surprise me that you’ve seen no additional scans since 5 days ago. It’s likely it’ll just show up in the next few days and there will be no more scans. The mail person can’t scan those either, which is why it’s not a true “delivery” scan but rather an estimate if PB sees it go through a scanner in your area hub. All in all… don’t worry. I have received many boxys and my fabfitfun boxes thru this company. My experience has been they are extremely slow and their tracking rarely updates. I always receive my boxes though. More on reddit.com
