Is this cheap crap that you're buying or are they actually name brand headsets with good reputation? All of the headsets I purchased have good quality and excellent drivers, I've never had a problem with any of them. Hey all,
I work in the IT department for large organisation, with over 1500 users. We are running Windows 10.
We have a mix of Plantronics/Poly Voyager 1/2 headsets paired with BT600/BT700 USB receivers.
Since December 2022 we have started to receive an increase number of reports for people that can't unmute or mute their headsets during calls or meetings. We mainly use Microsoft Teams, but it seems to apply to the system mute/unmute function so isn't limited to Teams.
We have Plantronics Hub installed on all computers. We have also tested without Plantronics Hub, but the issues still occur.
The issue is intermittent and can't be replicated on demand. It seems to happen every few days or weeks for the people who experience it.
I've raised cases with Microsoft and Poly but still haven't been able to identity the cause of the issue.
Is anyone else experiencing this and if so, can you share your findings or better still, a fix?

The headset's auto-mute/unmute problem was caused by an issue in MS Teams, which has been fixed by Hot Fix 1.0.0.2023021708(February 21).Please check if the issue has been resolved. Version update history for the Microsoft Teams app

Hi Everyone, I had the same problem with a V5200 and abandoned it for months after trying all sorts of suggestions (taping the holes, resetting...). · Picking it back today, I decided I wanted to know the reason and I found it and a solution. · Simply download the Plantronics hub (application) on your device. Scroll to the settings and turn off the ‘headset sensors’ and ‘HD voice’. The turn off the headset for about 5 - 10 secs and turn back on. Your device should work just fine.
