Voyager 5200 won't stop going into pairing mode on power on after clearing trusted devices?
OK got it working and leaving a note here in case anyone else comes across this post. So draining down the battery until it completely shuts down seems to be the only way to reset these headsets if you run into problems. After my headset going crazy and constantly trying to re-pair every time I started it up and it's inability to automatically re-pair, once again, I used the PLT Hub app to Clear All Trusted Devices, then I Reset to Default, and when it went into that re-pairing loop, I forced it to connect to my phone (iPhone XS) and then played music through it until it completely drained the battery and shut down. Then, I'd wait a few minutes, power it up again and it would still run for 2-3 minutes as the LiOn recovered enough power to run again. I repeated that about 4 times, and on the final time I got it paired, left it on all night paired to my phone (not playing music, just linked) and in the morning the battery was dead and it wouldn't power up at all. Then I charged it and when it turned on it no longer was stuck in the pairing loop and it auto-paired to my phone as it should. I was then also able to get the firmware update to apply with no error code 400109. It really seems that these Plantronics Voyager 5200 headsets can have issues where they get confused/glitched/looped. Hopefully this bug was tied to the v5.08 firmware and this won't happen again with v5.10. I'm really surprised there is not some kind of combination of pressing the buttons on these headsets that will force them to completely and truly reset and reboot them. It seems ridiculous that you have forcibly drain the battery to get resolve such loops and glitches. More on reddit.com
Pairing
With your headset powered off, press and hold the Call button until you hear "pairing." Put your base into pairing mode by pressing and holding the Bluetooth pairing button on the back of your base for 2 seconds until the display panel's Bluetooth icon flashes blue and red. Pairing is successful when you hear "pairing successful" and "base connected" and the display panel's Bluetooth icon turns solid blue. More on reddit.com
