I bought the Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life port for $8 yesterday and played it for around 30 minutes. It was super buggy and just not enjoyable to play because of some game breaking issues. I called to get a refund on the game, but was told “because I downloaded the game, I’m not allowed a refund.” I’ve never returned something on PS before but have on steam and other platforms and all of them have a time limit or play limit for returns. Is Sony’s seriously that, if you download the game, even if you only play it for 5 minutes and realize it’s not what you expected, there’s no refund?

I’d like to discuss the PlayStation Store’s not great refund policy
Sony needs a much better refund policy
EDIT: Since we're talking about this, let me add this. It's not the 90s anymore. Digital distribution has taken up speed and Sony's the leading console manufacturer in the industry.
At what point do they look at their entire system and start adopting stuff other platform have had for years? Digital gifting is still not available on PSN.
They made a decent attempt at their new 6 hour demo but that has a long way to go. Have it start when you actually start the game, not when you hit download and waste 5 hours downloading the thing.
Just adopt the Steam policy. Simple and easy. Have a time period in which you can get a refund, no questions asked. Avoids mistakes and crap games.
But you hold responsibility as well. You bought a game without doing research on it.
Don't get me wrong, I'd love it if Sony had a better policy but you have to take responsibility for your purchases as well. Broken games is one but not doing your due diligence is another.
