Go pros or web cams but don't forget to factor in some tripods. Not those dinky ones that come in a kit. Get an actual 5 to 7 foot tripod. It'll make getting the framing on your shot so much easier. If budget is really important... Just use your phones. Back up all your pictures and switch your phone to shoot in 1080. Some phones shoot in uhd or 4k so 1920x1080 will help with the file size. If your phone has a micro sd card it'll be perfect. If not clear out a bunch of space on your phone and do a test record to see how much an hour takes up. Also important just in general if you've never done separate video and audio. Record on video and audio and then do a clap so you can line it back up in post. More on reddit.com

The best option is probably just a USB mic you can plug directly into your computer or laptop that can run 50-100 bucks and there’s free options to record in like audacity or GarageBand if you’re in a Mac.
