Best opensource desktop podcast player for Windows?
Looking for an app-in-one podcast player for my Windows laptop and my android phone
Podcast apps for Windows
Hey, I made a windows store app a couple years ago call MyPodcasts. I made it because I didn’t like Grover and there were no better apps available. It’s free so you can give it a try. Alternatively you can use Spotify for most podcasts and Overcast.fm has a web client you can use as well.
Full disclosure: I have since stopped supporting the app with updates as it never made enough money to justify the time I poured into it but it should still be functional.

do you need to download them?
have you tried ShortOrange? (http://shortorange.com/player) it's a web based player, and they are working on mobile versions, which sync with the mail site.
I tried Juice, which worked well and allowed me to download/listen to podcasts.
Don't forget also that media players like Monkey, windows media, [insert other applications] also allow you to add podcasts to them. I use Monkey for listening at home and podkicker for when i'm out and about. The thing for me (which Short Orange kinda filled) was one thing that I could fire up anywhere and continue listening to the podcase from where I got to.
:)

I enjoy listening to podcasts often while I'm working on my Win 11 computer. I have a solid FOSS podcast player for my android phone(antennapod). However, I'd also like one for my desktop. I am currently using antennapod(I tried grover podcast but no synchronization feature w gpodder) as well but it doesnt allow synchronization w gpodder(times out error). Can anyone give me some recommendations for good FOSS desktop podcast players they use that can sync w gpodder? Honestly spent over 2 hrs looking for a decent solution but all I could find was the ancient gpodder win client which I have no interest using w it's outdated interface etc..
Particularly, in looking for an app that:
Has an Android app
Has a Windows or Web app
Syncs between them
Can subscribe to YouTube feeds (the app opening up YouTube to play them is fine)
The challenge has been finding an app that has BOTH a desktop option AND the ability to subscribe to YouTube channels. Lots have one of the other. I haven't found an app with both.
I would use YouTube/YouTube music itself, but not all of the podcasts I like have YouTube feeds. (I'm looking at you, Lateral.)
