Poly Voyager 5200 Next Gen?
I had 3 of these over the years and a friend of mine had 2 and we both had exactly the same problem. When indoors they worked perfectly, but outdoors it was a completely different experience. the other party could hear us initially and then they could here nothing, it would come and go and basically it was impossible to be used. This seems to happened especially when the weather was a bit cold, but this might be a random observation. Overall very dissapointed. Plantronics provided replacement units for both me and my friend and the issue kept happening again. Also it was device independent, was happening with both android and iphone models. I think that poly is exiting the consumer market, focusing mostly on office/work environments. There is no other explanation why we havent seen a replacement for 5200 for so many years. Poly BT600/700 with non UC bluetooth headphone
You definitely can pair your existing Plantronics / Poly devices with the BT600 & BT700 adapters regardless of whether they originally came with one. I've done it with Voyager Edge, Voyager Legacy and Voyager 5200 headsets. Be aware that USB 3.0 interference can be a real issue depending on your system... In the past I've worked around the issue with a USB 2.0 extension cable so that the adapter isn't near the physical USB hardware. I say a 2.0 cable because the adapters are 2.0 devices. Even the USB-C version of the BT700 is still the same as the USB-A version and doesn't benefit at all from USB 3.0+ bandwidth. The -C version is a convenience thing, not a performance thing. Regarding pairing non-Plantronics / Poly gear to the adapters... I have the same question. I actually tripped across your post while searching for an answer to that question. I don't have a non-Plantronics / Poly device to test with right now but I'm working on getting one shortly. I'll update here as soon as I'm able to test. Hope some of this helps! More on reddit.com

How do people even use this horribly designed headset? Poly Voyager 30
Totally get where you're coming from—and honestly, ear hook headsets (Or behind the ear which may be more accurate here) are hit or miss for a lot of people. I’ve been in the headset business for nearly 20 years, and if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that you truly can’t please everyone—especially when it comes to fit and comfort. Personally, I was never a big fan of ear hook styles either. For the longest time, they just didn’t work for me—felt awkward, unstable, or downright uncomfortable. But funny enough, in just the last 5 years or so, I’ve actually come around and really started to enjoy using them. Sometimes it’s about finding the right angle, hook shape, or tip size—and sometimes, it’s just not the right design for your ear. The Voyager 30 is one of those models that gets love from people who already know they want an ear hook design. They’re a tough crowd—super picky, but very specific in what they want: something lightweight, minimal, and out of the way. That said, if it doesn’t work for your ear shape or comfort preference, it can definitely feel like trying to jam a square peg into a round hole. Appreciate you sharing your experience though—feedback like yours helps steer people toward better-fitting options. If you're still in the market, happy to recommend alternatives depending on what you're trying to solve for (comfort, noise blocking, discreet look, etc.). More on reddit.com

r/poly on Reddit: Poly Voyager 5200 Next Gen?
November 22, 2023 -
Poly Voyager 5200 was released on December 2019 with Bluetooth 5.0 with multiple Firmware upgrades.
Since that, the technology was improved but there are not news about a new model.
