Best Bench Grinder stand?

Thanks for sharing all of your designs for the bench grinder pedestals. I think I like BB767's the best and I may try to create one similar to that only I will probably make mine simpler due to my limited fabrication skills. I think I can mount a set of casters on a car rim type base if I can weld a piece of square stock to it and drill 2 holes for the casters in it. Click to expand... The reason I made it portable... Got a bunch of gifts for thanksgiving including a rikon bench grinder, a wolverine system with vary grind jig and some gouges. I am thinking of getting a bench grinder stand for my small shop. Will I be able to install and setup the wolverine system on a stand? Should I get the rikon stand or is there any other recommended stand?

I just put mine on a workbench

I'm building a flip top stand so I can have the grinder on one side and a bench sander or polishing wheel on the other.

I do some light gunsmithing work that sometimes finds me in need of a sturdy place for a vise- things like sight drifting, driving pins in and out, or rifle bolt reassembly. However, I don't have any large, sturdy countertops anywhere I can just drill into and permanently mount a vise. I saw the new "Universal Bench Grinder Stand" (SKU 59196) and it has me wondering if this would be sufficient to do what I need it to do. It just can't move around or try and tip when I have a rifle clamped into the vise or I'm driving pins or sights or reassembling a bolt.

Thanks for the Universal Tool Stand suggestion fdrowell! I ended up going with that instead and it does seem pretty solid.
