Weird tracking update on expected parcel from PostNL. What is going on here?
My experience, sometimes when some of my packages are changing agencies the tracking gets wonky. I usually wait a day and the tracking will usually correct itself. More on reddit.com

If you’re ordering from China, only two post offices will handle the shipment … the Chinese postal service and the Canadian postal service. If it transits through a country - let’s say The Netherlands - PostNL will never see or know anything about the consignment as it’s not for them and it never leaves the airport. It’s not the fault of PostNL that there’s not enough capacity. More on reddit.com

I’m expecting a registered package requiring a signature from France. La Poste (French post) tracking shows the parcel entered the Netherlands yesterday at 8am. And now I receive this weird push notification from PostNL app saying it is a return package that will be delivered to Postbus 99054. What is going on here? I tried contacting PostNL but they are closed until tomorrow morning.

i am visiting UK at the moment, and a few days ago i shipped a parcel abroad from the UK to my sister in the Netherlands. the parcel made it out of the UK and through customs, and this was the last thing i heard.
Royal Mail has said my parcel cleared customs, and PostNL agrees with this. however, PostNL hasn't changed my parcel's status from „Delivery time is being calculated. Shipment expected, but not yet arriced or processed at PostNL“ for over 1 week now.
my sister said she has had no news of the parcel either... i guess i am just being impatient and paranoid as i know of parcels going missing before.
does anyone have any similar experience and can maybe provide some reassurance that this is normal? or any further steps i should be taking? :')

Sometimes it takes a few days sometimes it takes a few weeks, longest I've had to wait was about 2 weeks but usually it was way faster. There's sadly absolutely no updates on anything during this process, I guess because they're not really doing anything with the parcel. But yeah I'd say its normal.
