Hey everyone,
I'm currently looking for software recommendations that can help me monitor my PC's power consumption and record its performance daily. Specifically, I'm interested in finding a tool that can track when my system's power consumption spikes and provide insights into what activities or processes might be causing those spikes.
Ideally, I'd like the software to offer features such as:
Daily monitoring of power usage. Ability to record power consumption data over time. Analysis of power usage patterns, highlighting peak times.
I'm hoping to optimize my PC's energy efficiency and identify any potential issues that might be contributing to excessive power consumption. Any recommendations or insights into available software solutions would be greatly appreciated!

I have a 450W Corsair CX450M and I'd like to see if all my stuff overloads the PSU
Hi All,
Since I built my new pc, sometimed I get random reboots (kernel power error 41). I checked everything and my conclusion is that my PSU could be faulty. I would like to monitor the voltage rails over time (12,5, 3.5 volts) and get a report, so I can check if there are any fluctuations in the voltage. Can RGB leds cause such issue?
Specs
CPU: 12th Gen Intel Core i9-12900K
ASRock Z690M PG Riptide/D5 (CPUSocket)
3726GB Seagate ST4000DM004-2CV104 (SATA )
32 GB DDR5 ram
931GB Samsung SSD 980 1TB (Unknown (SSD)
win 10
Is there an app that can monitor the power consumption of my pc?
Title ^
Specifically a overlay to look at while in-game more or less.
i got a new one, a corsaire 650 which will replace the 450w one
but i would like to make some kind of stress test on them, with gpu+cpu
what is the best software to monitor the use of my psu ?
So I'm looking for some help with finding some software that will report on power consumption on our computers.
Is anyone using anything that can feed this info back to some kind of central dashboard with stats/reports?
If so how does it cope with mobile users where they may be using your VPN to work from home in the evening rather than it being a computer left switched on and idle?
All our machines are Dell and almost all are 3-4 years old maximum with Windows 7 or Windows 10.
I have several monitored APC PDUs and they have the ability upload the log files to a server. I am curious if there is a program that can take those logs, and keep a running tally for the power draw for the PDUs, and maybe a total monthly cost for them. The current format is doable, but just to save me time I think it would be helpful to track the total power cost automatically.
Is there a way to take in account how much watts my pc consumes in a month and store them in a log file or a excell that i can look into? I am on windows 10/11, i know a software called hw monitor that displays a rough amount of instant power consumption but i don't know if i can store it in files automatically. Would be quite useful as i have 5 pc running 24/7 and i wanted to start taking in account how much electricity they consume, even if it is a rough estimate, without using external wattmeters.
Is there any other PSU brand similar to Corsair HXi series and their Link software?
I really like the way you can see how much wattage the system is drawing and the efficiency based on load.
Why I'm looking for something else? This is the second HX850i I got that has issues.
As tittle say, I would like to check how much watts my PC consume under load.
Does anyone know of a safe way to monitor the power consumption of my gaming PC and display it in display software like https://grafana.com/. I am aware of software solutions like Open Hardware Monitor these have their downsides. I was planning to use a tp-link p110 smart plug to do this, but a friend of mine said that this is one way to get your house burned down when using a high voltage PSU (i.e. corsair 750w 2019). ๐ฅ๐ I am also aware of the corsair ICLUE 4 software, but the performance PSUs seem to be incompatible with this software. Does anybody know a safe way to get the real-time or weekly power consumption of a gaming PC? Maybe a kill-a-watt switch is better suited?
Either all home electricity with data being gathered near/at meter, or targeting a specific point, like your home-lab consumption or particular devices?
I'm just looking for helpful tools to help visualize and monitor energy consumption.
I think my power supply is going out, but I want to make sure. I was hoping i could find a program that monitors in real time and keeps records of changes in voltage over time. Can anybody recommend a program like that?
Thanks
Is there a way or application we can install to monitor the current PSU wattage or total wattage from all parts running on your pc?
Is there a way to monitor this? For instance, GPU-Z program allows you to monitor every variable of your GPU against time, including power consumption and TDP. Is there a way to monitor the overall PC power consumption to see if your PSU is enough? I have got some crashes in some games and I am suspecting my PSU. Thanks in advance.
