An update for players claiming Prime Gaming loot:
Prime Gaming has decided not to renew our promotion, which means the last capsule drops will end in March 2024 across all of our games. We know this is disappointing, and wanted to let you know as soon as we could.
You can continue to claim drops for the next few months, and any Prime Gaming content unlocked prior to March 2024 will remain in your account.

Is it just me or has Prime Gaming massively gone downhill with it's gaming loot drops for content and such. I used to find myself every month jumping on to claim like 20+ content distributions and now I end up getting maybe 5-7 maximum. I definitely see there's actually less as well like not just in terms of what I like personally but like less choices in total for claiming.
Anyone else noticed this?
I checked my Prime Gaming today after not checking it for a long time and expected to have many unclaimed rewards waiting for me but found....one?....for Lost Ark...and thats it?....what happened to all the Prime Gaming rewards?
The Lost Ark pack is the only thing available, and has been that way for weeks.
Foxhound finally dropped.
Around this week, Amazon announced that it will play ads for Prime Video. I wonder if this could be applied to Prime Gaming as the last step before removing it as a whole. Perhaps not all ads on Twitch just the pre-rolls, maybe?
Any time Prime Gaming is mentioned there this argument that it is costing Twitch money, etc. but I wonder if it is just as simple as Amazon covering this expense on paper (ie. accounting). Even if that is not the case, reporting wise (monthly/Q1234/etc.) Twitch would have something like EBITDA+Prime or else it seems like Twitch would report a loss every month... I digress.
What changes to Prime Gaming would you do before shutting it down?
EDIT Jan 12, 2024: CEO Dan said on stream during a Q&A, Prime Gaming is not going away anytime soon which I interpret as at least for 2024. He did mention that it is open to changes so including ads is an option on the the table IMO.
Seems they continue with prime loop for League and now also TFT. Can be found at: https://gaming.amazon.com/home
Free stuff!
So I redeemed my Prime Loot on the 27th of October and got all the goodies a man could ask for, however, November has come and I'm not able to get this month's loot, do you need to wait a full month between each time you redeem the loot or is something wrong?
Hey so if you go onto league where you can click โclaim nowโ where the prime gaming is, it says oct27-nov30. So Iโm guessing the next capsule is available December 1st and that will count as the November capsule
i call bullshit on this. the first drop we claimed was the october loot. it even said so. would feel like the scam us on one box if they wont give us one in november. by the way, league is the only game, where you cant claim the "november" rewards on the first day of the month

At the time of writing this, the first loot that is supposed to released today still says "available soon" and cannot yet be claimed.
Edit: The loot became claimable on release day many hours after release. Once you have claimed the first loot drop, you can find it as a set of armor "skins" in game. Right-click on any equipped armor piece and choose "change skin" to see the list of skins available for that armor and apply one.
I don't care much for the 4 Fortnite games that are free anyway.
I don't care for the browser games.
The games to claim are alright but not too many.
And with Apex Legends loot never working and Riot Games Loot ending this month that only leaves mostly MMOs and whalecatcher mobile games to get stuff for...
And the twitch sub is what it is.
A couple of months ago they didn't renew their contract with Hi-Rez Studios and Riot Games, literally half of the decent games they had rewards for. Now, there's mostly rewards for mobile games and NFT games in there. It's honestly disappointing, but at least they give good games every once in a while. I know beggars can't be choosers, since it's an extra service, but I still liked getting skins and other goodies for the games I actually played. Hopefully they don't get rid of the few good game rewards left.
I don't see any more packs for any games. Not sure if they got moved or if Prime did away with the partnership with other developers for special DLCs
prime gaming is not profitable I think because from a long time there was a black market going on to this day revolved around creating mass accounts and selling them for league of legends capsule and such. so they moving away from in-game drops and I fear they closing it down completely.
